There is a negative stereotype that black people don't hike, however many fail to realize that many black families lack the resources and ability to access such activities, due to many factors. Factors include but are not limited to: financial barriers, negative associations to outdoor spaces, family structure, failure to show representation, and more.

This  campaign is designed to help purchase quality gear for Black families.

Maintain Logging and Mining Restrictions for Tongass National Forest in Alaska

Here in recent days, President Trump has been considering lifting the logging restrictions on Tongass National Forest in Alaska. The Tongass spans nearly 17 million acres, and its wilderness of old-growth cedar, spruce and hemlock trees makes up the world's largest temperate rainforest.

The Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics seeks dynamic and tech-savvy teams of educators for Subaru/Leave No Trace Team positions for the contract period April 2021 through April 2022 (exact dates to be determined). Team members must be passionate educators, skilled communicators, and content creators, and ready to live, work and thrive on the road. Only pre-paired teams of two will be considered. Teams deliver Leave No Trace programs to children and adults of all experience levels and ages. Teams also produce videos, blogs, weekly social media content, and detailed program reporting.
